A man who planned to bombard a railway line with a device made from imp flares and a pressure cooker has been jailed for life.
Zahid Hussain, 29, from Birmingham, replenished the contraption with 1.6 kg of shrapnel and built “improvised igniters” from the gala decorations.
Hussain became radicalised see notebooks and websites in his bedroom.
He was convicted of preparing for an acts of terrorism in May and sentenced at Winchester Crown Court on Monday.
